The 3x3 part of the series is where we pick 3 players/teams on your Hype Island, Buzz Talk, and The Watch list. Hype Island consists of players and/or teams that you think should be getting more hype. Buzz talk is players and/or teams that you are buying their buzz. The Watch list are players and/or teams that you are keeping your eye on. The ones you think the season and/or future of the league can be defined by these players or teams.
Players and/or teams that you are keeping your eye on. The season and/or future of the league can be defined by these players or teams. It could be a potential bust, breakout players, injury scare, or just general question marks going into the season. Players who were on my MVP, DMVP, ROTY, or DROTY list were not considered for this category.
1) Stafford Health (QB LAR)
Without a doubt my biggest question mark this season is Stafford. If he stays healthy I believe they are SB contenders, maybe the SB contender. I just am not sure I believe he will stay healthy. How many times have we seen this happen? A veteran SB contending team with injury history. Sean McVay is arguably the best coach in the NFL behind Andy Reid. They have the toughest offense to stop. Their front 7 is brutal. If Staffod stays healthy this is a SB contending team.
2) Detroit Lions Coordinators
The Detroit Lions in general are my biggest question of the year. The year after Philadelphia beat New England in the SB they lost all of their coordinators and we saw them struggle. We cannot underestimate the difficulties you go through losing both of your coordinators. That being said, I think Goff operates this offense at an elite level. They have arguably a top 5 WR, a top 5 RB, top 5 TE, and a top 5 OL.
3) Bryce Young Improving
Bryce Young has struggled to start his career. So has some of the greatest QBs to play this game. Carolina hasn’t been the most thriving franchise, but they have tried to make Young's career a success. The brought in an offensive minded coach who has brought in multiple WRs with the arsenal capable of complementing Bryce. This is a big year for him and a potential NFL star.
