2026 NFL Mock Draft

A lot of teams are going to want to trade down, but I don’t think we’ll see as many first-round trades as usual. Some franchises will be all-in on the 2027 class and hold onto their picks, while others will look at this year’s group and decide it’s just not worth moving up for. The league’s obsessed with the passing game right now — corners, receivers, offensive linemen, edge rushers — but this draft is a little light on star players at some of those premium spots. On the flip side, there are a few really good players at positions that don’t usually get hyped as “elite,” and that could cause some big names to slide. Because of how teams are viewing this class, I expect them to play it safer. They’ll take shots on individual guys they like instead of trying to trade down and squeeze out extra value. That cautious approach should mean fewer trades in the first round.
